In this year alone Ummah Society has completed many successfull projects for the community in Halifax and beyond. Ummah Society will annouce the detials of these milestones that is of paramount importance to the entire community insha Allah. During this Iftar dinner, we will meet and greet our newly hired Principal of the Maritime Muslim Academy (MMA). This is an exciting time for MMA! We are happy to see this dream come true after the long-awaited acquisition of our new building in Clayton Park. Would love to see you all at our fundraising Iftar. Please spread the word The MMA & UMMAH CENTER IN CLAYTON PARK: Ummah Society is proud to announce that with the support of our community and the blessings of Allah, we have started operating our second location, a state-of-the-art building in Clayton Park at 148 Chain Lake Dr. Our new location will house two exciting new initiatives for the community: 1) A second new branch for the Maritime Muslim Academy (MMA), which will provide an opportunity for many students and families who have been on our waiting list for a long time to receive a quality education in a safe and supportive environment. 2) The first Youth and Sports Center in Clayton Park, providing a much-needed space for our youth to gather and engage in healthy activities that nurture Islamic values, and mental well-being. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to offer these new services to our community, but we cannot do it alone. We have a goal to raise $1,000,000 before July 2023 to close the deal for the acquisition of the building. Without reaching this goal, we may lose this opportunity and the building. Therefore, we need your sincere and generous donations urgently to ensure that this becomes a continuous charity for as long as present and future generations of Muslims benefit from the establishment of this center. Last year we collected $750,000 for this project, and with your help, we hope to reach our goal this year. Your donations will be greatly appreciated and will have a lasting impact on the community. Please remember that any contribution you make, no matter how small, is considered a Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity) and will be a means of earning rewards from Allah. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."
